Research Experience: Prof Dr. Sulaiman is currently, Guess Professor at RWTH University, and Director of SeaNexus, a company spineoff to commercialise research product and on inland, coastal and offshore farming technology and related circular blue, green and circular economy products. He is Professor of Ocean Engineering. Dr. Olanrewaju is Professor of Ocean Engineering at University Malaysia Terengganu. He is also Visiting professor to Cranfield University, UK, University of Wollongong, Australia and Technical University of Applied Science, Cologne. He is involved in development of technology for inland, coastal and offshore farming technology and related circular blue, green and circular economy products. His specialization is in Safety/ Environmental Risk and Reliability for Maritime and Ocean Systems, Marine Energy and Environment, Sustainable Maritime Technology System Design and Inland Water transportations. He has conducting research on marine hybrid alternative energy system and seaweed farming, greenhouse gas emission inventory from marine system and climate change control technology, offshore and near coastal aquaculture systems technology, seaweed base marine biofuel, marine biotech material, food, health, animal feed, soil remediation, bioremediation, climate change and resilient technology systems. He is a chattered engineer registered under UK Engineering Council with diverse academic and professional background. He started his career as engineer officer on a ship. He has taught and mentor marine courses and research projects on contemporary issues in maritime and ocean engineering field. He has also authored and co-authored a total of more than 150 publications. He has a file patent on research work on marine green technology. Dr Olanrewaju is also an editorial board, reviewer and scientific committee of several international journal, He is editor of book chapter on “Marine Technology and Sustainable Development”. He has served in several working group technical committees. He has participated as observer to UN rule making for inland water transportation, sustainable energy, disaster risk reduction, water convention. He has collaborated with diverse international scholar on key research topics. He has organized and participated in international conferences. He is the member of royal Institute of Naval Architecture (RINA), UNISDR stakeholder, UNECO-IOC, Biomass Society Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), Permanent International Association of Navigation Congress (PIANC), Institute of electrical Electronics and Engineering (IEEE). American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME), International Association of Emergency Manager (IAEM), International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS).
